£95 was raised at our Lent Lunch on March 7th and this has been donated to the United Area Christian Aid project.
The Greengate School choir came to sing for us at our Coffee Morning on March 9th. They were delightful and everyone enjoyed their programme including our two visitors from the Moving Mountains team who spoke to the children and got them to join in with a little ditty.
Mothering Sunday coming at the end of Fairtrade Fortnight gave us opportunity to divide up the various chocolate bars which had been on display and also the roses for everyone to take home.

On Wednesday April 18th the ladies from the Salthouse group of churches have been invited to join us. Jennet McLeod will be the speaker and afternoon tea will be served.
Once again we will be hosting Flashbacks from Monday April 29th. We still need volunteers to help with the craft work the children do. Can you help?
A social evening is being held on Friday April 20th. This will begin with pie and peas at 6pm followed by games and quizzes for people of all ages and will end around 8pm. Tickets are on sale at £5. We hope everyone will be able come along and have a good evening in each other’s company.
On Sunday April 29th a farewell service will be held for Ron and Denice. This will be at Beacon Hill Church at 6pm. It will be an opportunity to say thank you to Ron who has served us well for twenty two years ! Here at Ramsden Street we have appreciated his ministry among us and will certainly miss him and all the family. Ron’s final service at Ramsden Street will be on Sunday April 8th but he will be conducting worship at Trinity in the morning of the 29th when Ramsden Street worship at Trinity.
The organ recital on Friday February 16th was enjoyed by around 50 people. There was a lovely atmosphere and people were humming or tapping their feet along to the music. £178 was raised for Church funds.
We were delighted to welcome three new members into the fellowship at Ramsden Street on Sunday February 18th. Ron Wilson conducted a service of confirmation and transfer.
Many decisions were made and a lot of discussion took place at our Church Annual General Meeting on Sunday February 18th. We decided on which charities to support, appointments for the coming year, future events and services etc.
There will be a display and information about Fairtrade goods during the Fairtrade Fortnight beginning on Feb 26th
Our Church lunch on Wednesday March 7th will be a ‘Lent Lunch’ with donations going to charity.
At the coffee morning on Friday March 9th, the Greengate Junior School choir will come along to sing for us at 10.30am. This event has been included on the programme of events for the Moving Mountains weekend.
We are holding a Social Evening on Friday April 20th beginning with a hot meal at 6pm. Details will appear in next month’s Around Church but put the date in your diary now.
